#1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury shows why she is America’s favorite inspirational novelist with this dramatic story about character, compromise, and the cost of having it all. Zack Dylan has a dream. He wants to sing on the biggest stages, for the biggest crowds, and he’ll do whatever it takes to make it come true. But Zack also made a promise to his college sweetheart when he left Kentucky to compete on the popular TV show Fifteen Minutes: If he made it, nothing would change him or his faith in God. Overnight, Zack becomes the nation’s most popular contestant, a country singer comparable to a young Tim McGraw. As his star rises, Zack is often asked to compromise and quiet his beliefs. Just as he’s on the verge of winning it all, his choices lead him to the brink of personal disaster. Meanwhile, a former Fifteen Minutes winner is searching for meaning a midst her own private losses. Can she warn Zack about the real price of fame? Or will Zack lose everything he loves for his fifteen minutes of glory? From the novelist dubbed the “Queen of Christian Fiction” by Time magazine, Fifteen Minutes explores the cost of fame and celebrity set against the backdrop of America’s favorite singing competition.

Karen, since I found your books at a yard sale about a year ago, I am hooked. I love the way you bring faith and values into everyday life. My Mom and I share all your books. We love the way you write about every day obstacles in the world and ways to let the Lord shine. My Mom says that “Fifteen Minutes”, Zack had to make choices that would affect his life forever. This book showed what could happen if you don’t make the decision that gives God the glory but gives glory to yourself instead. Zack went in with the right attitude to help out his family from losing the family farm, help get his sister get better medical help and to make money for his wedding to Reese and their future together. But when he started off he gave the Glory to God and asked for God’s help and prayers in this endeavor. But as time went on he was influenced by the world, not God. He was put in situations that he tried to handle without God and failed miserably. The kiss with Zoey made him lose the love of his life. My mom said that’s all it takes is that one moment, that one action that can change your life forever and it is portrayed in this book.God wants us to be a witness and Zack didn’t witness to Zoey. That led to more disaster.. Zoey ended up on drugs and in rehab and miserable. God did shine through with Chandra and Kelly when they kicked him off the show and sent him home because it was the BEST thing for him. I was happy that Kelly and her husband got back together with her husband and her children and that her dad was in remission. We know that is God’s Grace. Zack went home to a Christian family who forgave him and loved him. Another example of God’s Grace. He didn’t get back Reese but he still kept his family. He was still writing songs, something he enjoyed, but, with God’s love and faithfulness. You can see when someone shines for the Lord. Karen, I really enjoy your books and hope you continue with letting God shine in your books the way he shines in this book, “Fifteen Minutes”.
