Abby Abernathy is a good girl.
She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.
This book is one of my Favorites… It follows Abby Abernathy the good girl, that every guy loves, even when they don’t know it. She is a girl who at first glance appears to be wholesome, prim and proper, and sometimes her dark side wants to be dangerous. This book is told from Abby Abernathy’s perspective, we see that Abby meets a bad boy, the normal bad boy, with tattoos and fights for a living. Travis Maddox is a ladies man for sure, and he is not afraid to show it either. So when Abby meets Travis she can not stand him.. All she wants to do is prove him wrong. Travis is another story, he loves how Abby is so opposite of the girls that he is used to. He loves the chase. He finds it very interesting that Abby doesn’t fall head over heels for him. He is used to girls falling at his feet. So, when Abby doesn’t do that, he finds it a challenge to get her once and for all.
Travis changes his ways of doing things, he starts to clean up his act and shows Abby that he can be trusted and a somewhat good guy. Still, Abby doesn’t see that Travis is falling in love with her. She does not know how beautiful or attractive she is, Travis does. She doesn’t understand what Travis see’s in her, so she just doesn’t want to be a fling with him. She can’t see being anyone’s girlfriend, much less this beautiful disaster of a boy, Travis Maddox. As many times as he tells her that she is beautiful and tries everything to get her, she just doesn’t understand it. She is blind as a bat when it comes to noticing the things going on around her, especially Travis’ very lame attempts at telling her how he feels. And then, when they finally move past it and get together she becomes even more of an idiot. I had such a huge grin on my face reading this book. I read until 3am and then woke up and started reading some more, until I was finished and wanted some more of Travis and Abby.
~This book is soooo amazing..For those of you who haven’t read it, please drop everything you are doing and go get this BOOK !!!~
